Chad Daybell Sentenced to Death in Triple Murder Trial

Verdict Reached in Idaho Doomsday Author Case

Four Deaths, One Sentence

Chad Daybell, the self-described doomsday author, has been sentenced to death on Saturday in relation to the triple murder of his first wife, Tammy Daybell, and his current wife's two children, Joshua "JJ" Vallow and Tylee Ryan.

The jury reached a verdict on Thursday, finding Daybell guilty of first-degree murder in the killings. The trial concluded in Idaho, where Daybell's trial was held.

Daybell was also sentenced to life in prison for the conspiracy to commit first-degree murder of his current wife, Lori Vallow Daybell. Lori Daybell, who is currently facing trial for her involvement in the murders, has pleaded not guilty.
